The Halifax County Sheriffs Office is investigating the theft of several items from a work trailer reported on 6/7/06. If anyone has been approached about buying any tools such as on this list, please call Crimestoppers!

The Halifax County Sheriffs Office is investigating recent reported larcenys of fishing equipment and lawn care equipment. We have had lawn mowers, weed eaters, fishing rods & reels, stolen throughout the county.
   
     We would ask the public to report people that are trying to sell these types of items on the street, usually for less value than normal. We would urge people to secure their property and work with neighbors to detect suspicious activity.

I need to request assistance and possibly a reward from crime stoppers in an ongoing investigation.  we have recently had four breakins in the downtown area that we believe to be related.  The information on those incidents follows:

 
On 03/24/2006, someone broke the glass to the B&B Variety Shop at 298 Roanoke Avenue.  The suspect(s) stole 13 pair of Nike Air Jordan shoes valued at $1,125.00 and $650.00 in cash.
 
On 03/27/2006 at around 0319 hrs, someone shattered the front door glass to the Food Lion at 175 Roanoke Avenue.  It appears that the suspect(s) were scared off by the alarm and nothing was taken.
 
On 03/27/2006 at around 0343 hrs, the Bargainland at 300 Roanoke Avenue was found to be broken into.  The suspect(s) broke out the front glass door and made entry.  Approximately $35 in change, 3 knives and 5 pair of brass knuckles were taken. 
 
On 03/28/2006 the barber shop at 16W 1st Street was found broken into.  The suspect(s) entered the barbershop by knocking a hole in the wall of the apartment directly beside the shop.  Access to the apartment was gain by busting the glass out of the door and then opening the door.  two hair clippers were stolen, valued at $112.00 along with $11.00 cash.  Two gumball vending machines were also damaged

 

The Halifax County Sheriffs Office is investigating the vandelism of several mailboxes on Moonlight Road, Scotland Neck on the late night hours of friday March 2nd. A vehicle was apparnetly used in pushing the mailboxes over. If anyone knows who did this,please call Crimestoppers

The Halifax County Sheriffs Office is investigating the theft of a "Murray", red in color, 22'' self propelled lawn mower from a residence on Yorrow Lane. The suspect was seen stealing the lawn mower around 11:30 on Febuary 1rst. The man is desribed as a heavy set white male, long brown hair with a bandana, wearing a jean jacket and blue jeans. The suspect was driving a black pick up truck.

The Halifax County Sheriffs Office is investigating the theft of a 2004 Suzuki DR-2400S  motorcycle. The motorcycle is in very good condition and is yellow in color. The motorcycle was taken at night on 1/12/06 from a residence on Beaverdam Road in Enfield.

The Halifax County Sheriffs Office is asking for help in finding out who broke into a Saturn station wagon in the 900 block of Elm Street in Weldon on Tuesday January 17th, around 10:40 P.M. A purse was taken containing credit cards etc. The victim will pay an additional reward in this case

On 1/3/04 someone stole 20 hunting dogs.Twelve were blue tick beagle dogs. black/brown/white in color valued at $12,000.The eight others were bluetick
 beagle rabbit hunting dogs,same markings with three being adults and five puppies valued at $8,000.The dogs were in a hunting club just outside of Weldon.Anyone with information is asked to call Crimestoppers

On 12/26/03 someone vandelized farmland in the Phillips Road area of Scotland Neck.A four wheel drive vehicle damaged the land by "Muddriding" and the person(s) pushed down deerstands on the property. A deer decoy was apparently drug by the vehicle. The approximate damage to the deerstands and decoy is $1000.

   On 12/18/03 in the Littleton area of Highway 4, a shed was broken into and the following items removed:A Devilbiss Generator,blue and black in color with wheels on the frame, a Still chainsaw orange and tan in color, a red tool box with a variety of tools, 15 gallons of gas, and two gascans.The approximatre value of all is $2300.The items were taken from the shed and
 dragged to the Hwy 4 area nearby.
 

On 12/23/2005 around 2:10pm, two black males entered the ABC store at 1520 Julian Allsbrook Hwy, Roanoke Rapids.One of the males distracted the clerk by asking multiple questions regarding alcohol. At this time the second male went into the office, and removed a money bag containing approxiamately $2500.00 in cash.The two males then exited the store together, without making a purchase. One of the males was was of a large build, with a bald head, and wearing a light colored shirt, and khaki pants. The other had a slim build, with a bald head and wearing a dark colored shirt, and khaki pants.



Crimestoppers is offering a reward for information in the case of a Weldon area break-in. Last week a home was entered through a window with a diamond ring and this pendant stolen. We suspect that the thieves have tried to sell the jewelry and we hope that someone will recognize this pic.

 

On 11/17/05 the theft of two water pump and tanks were reported in the Justice Branch Road area of Enfield.The pumps were stolen directly from a well,in working order.The brand for both pumps are "Stayright" and are blue in color.
    These types of items should stand out as the thieves try to sell or install them.

The Halifax County Sheriffs Office and Weldon P.D. are investigating the reported theft of a pick up truck, damage to the truck, and damage done by the truck at the Bolling Road Food Lion drink machines and the State Employee Credit Union "Cash Points" machine in the Food Lion parking lot.
 
          At 6:59 a.m. the Halifax County Sheriffs Office received complaints from Food Lion and The Credit Union in reference to apparent intentional damage done by a vehicle to three drink machines located in the front of the building and to the rear of the Cash points machine nearby.There was evidence to suggest that the vehicle had been driving in mud and cotton fields nearby.
         
         At 9:21 the Halifax County Sheriffs Office located a wrecked truck in the wooded area of edgewater subdivision.the truck had damage done consistant with the damage at the Food Lion parking lot.
 
         At 9:50 a.m. the owner of the truck reported the truck stolen from the Frazers parking lot in Weldon,stating that the truck was left there overnight.
 
         As both agencies investigate the crimes, we ask for the publics help in identifying the suspect(s). The Halifax County Sheriffs Office is investigating the breaking/entering and larceny of Everette school on Everette School Road on 10/31/05. The thieves entered through a classroom window that they broke.The items stolen were food and drinks,ear phones,a white microwave oven, and blue colored remotes that operated equipment that wasn't stolen.
   


Pics of the remote controls are attached,they are unique and someone may have tried to sell them since the break-in occurred. If anyone has information about the break-in they are asked to call Crimestoppers.

 

 

 

The Halifax County Sheriffs Office is continuing to investigate the murder of Mr. Kenneth Harris on Rhea Smith Road near Hwy 48 on 9/8/05. We are encouraging any and all witness's to contact the Crimestopper line with any details they may have.

The Halifax County Sheriffs Office is investigating two breaking and enterings in the Littleton area. On 9/2/05 a resident reported a "chop saw" with a 14 inch blade and a Mcketer saw with an 8 inch blade stolen from the residence.
    A second victim reported that on 9/7/05, two shotguns were stolen from their home. A neighbor saw a W/M drive a light gold colored car,possibly a ford taurus, pull into the victims driveway. The W/M was tan,balding or bald, with a mustache.

The Halifax County Sheriffs Office is investigating the murder of Mr. Kenneth Harris, 41 years old from Roanoke Rapids on 9/8/05 at around 10 p.m. on Rhea Smith Road near HWY 48.We are requesting witness's to come forward with any information that they may have.
 
      We suspect that the perpetrator(s) would have had some bloodstain on their clothing or perhaps acted differently after they killed Mr. Harris.If anyone thinks they may have been around someone who had to discard/change clothes at this hour or acted suspiciously,we ask them to call CRIMESTOPPERS.

ON 8-31-05 AT APPROXIMATELY 1230HRS A WHITE MALE WAS ATTACKED AT  HIS RESIDENCE OF 924 FRANKLIN ST ROANOKE RAPIDS N.C.
 
        FOUR YOUNG BLK MALES ENTERED HIS YARD WHERE HE WAS AND BEGAN HITTING HIM ABOUT THE HEAD AND FACE.  THE ONLY DESCRIPTIONS ARE A BLK MALE, 6'0", 180LBS, DREAD LOCKS.  BLK MALE,5'7",MUSCULAR BUILD, BALD, W/ A NBA SHIRT ON.  BLK MAKE, SHORT.  NO DESCRIPTION ON FOURTH.

Between August 27th and 29th a "Stow" cement mixer was stolen from a work site at a residence on Hwy 158, west of Roanoke Rapids.The property is valued at $3000,

 

 

 

The Roanoke Rapids Police Department is investigating two thefts in residential areas last week. A Miles street truck had the tool box pried open and assorted tools,Daiwa fishing rods,thirty foot measuring tape, and a Homelite leafblower were stolen.
 

A West 2nd street residence had these items stolen from the carport:a tackle box,craftsman toolbox with assorted tools,and Daiwa fishing rods.

A coca-cola drink machine was broken into,causing damage as it sat in the L&M Auto parking lot on Monday August 9th. the machine is located in the rear of the business.Anyone with information is asked to call Crimestoppers.

The Sheriffs Office is investigating several incidents of mailbox damage in the Stack Powell Road / Zoo Road areas from August 2nd through the  9th. If anyone knows who is responsible, call Crimestoppers.

The Halifax County Sheriffs Office is investigating the breaking and entering and theft, that occurred on 5/23/05 at Quality Forest Products in Enfield.Evidence of multiple thieves that loaded the stolen property onto a truck was evident. A fence was cut to gain entry onto the property. We feel as though the thieves have attempted to sell the following items: A trailer with welder and red tool box, air compressor,battery charger,various hand tools,power saws,hand grinder,electric drill,antifreeze, and oil.

The Sheriffs Office is investigating a cruelty to animals complaint filed this past weekend. A resident on HWY 48 reported that someone shot six goats in a pen. The goats were shot in the neck with an apparent small caliber gun. The shots were heard around 6 p.m. on Saturday the 11th.

We are investigating a church breaking/entering and larceny from the Church of Christ at 29 Cain Drive, R.R.N.C. Sometime between 5/22 and 5/28 someone entered the church without detection and removed two white in color "Peavey" speakers, that are 2.5 feet tall.I have attached a pic of a similiar speaker,however the speakers stolen are white in color.These speakers are uncommon and should stand out.If anyone knows where they are,please call Crimestoppers! 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The Weldon Police Department and Crimestoppers need help with an ongoing problem that in the last year. There have been approximately ten break-ins of unoccupied motel rooms in Weldon, with several televisions stolen. The Days Inn, Interstate Inn, and Orchard Inn have all had break-ins as recent as 9/29/04.Anyone with information in these thefts are asked to call Crimestoppers.

The Sheriffs Office is investigating the theft of three angus calves from the Fishing Creek Road, near Enfield. If anyone has information about this crime,please call Crimestoppers

 

 

The Sheriffs Office is investigating a first degree burglary and a strong armed robbery in the HWY 561 area of Tillery.
     On 8/26/04 at approximatly 5:30 A.M. a suspect broke a glass door to enter the home,when the resident went towards the door,the suspect fled.
 
     On 8/28/04 at approximatly 3:50 P.M. the same resident was attempting to enter the residence when a b/m approached her from behind and took her purse.The victim pulled a gun on the suspect as he was fleeing.The suspect was about 5"8,large build, wearing dark clothes and ski mask.

We are investigating a home invasion that occurred on Loop Road in Enfield on 5/15/05 at 6.a.m. The suspect broke out a window of a side door and squeezed through.The elderly victim heard the noise and managed to activate an alarm,when the suspect approached them in a hallway.The suspect shoved the victim down to the floor and began to ransack the home.The victim managed to get up and attempt to load a 22 caliber rifle when the suspect returned and took the rifle from them.The only item stolen was the 22 caliber rifle,which was several years old according to the victim. The male who was described as black, 5"6-5"9, and thin built.
           A track was ran by a Sheriff K-9 unit to the area of Mars Lane but no suspect was located. If anyoe has information about this,please call the sheriffs Office or Crimestoppers.
 
The Sheriffs Office is investigating the theft of a red in color "Yard Machine" riding lawn mower.It has a 12.5 H.P. motor, 38" cut deck.The black seat was broken loose from the mower.
     The theft occurred in the Justice Branch Road area of Littleton on 4/21/05. Anyone with information is asked to call Crimestoppers.

 

Still needing help for this older Crime of the Week for an unsolved murder that occurred on June 12th,04? The murder took place at around 3 a.m., Saturday morning at 5665 Ita Road, Hollister.Three black males entered the home of victim Timothy Hendricks. All three men were armed with handguns and stun guns. All wore mask and dark clothing. Timothy Hendricks was shot to death.Two other people were inside of the trailer were assaulted and tied up.The victims I.D. card, jewelry, and wallet are missing.

The Sheriffs Office is investigating a breaking,entering, and larceny at Gaston saw Sales in Roanoke Rapids.The suspect(s) gained entry by making a hole in the wall of the business.The stolen property are four Husqvarna chain saws valued at $2,200.The saws are orange in color.

The Sheriffs Office is investigating a breaking,entering, and larceny that occurred on 4/28/05 in the Scotland Neck area.The following items were stolen: Remington 1100 12 gauge shotgun w/ dule black finish,30/30 rifle, 41 caliber daringer w/ blck handle,several knives,Savage double barrell 12 gauge shotgun, 36 inch black ninja sword, 25 inch sony t.v.,silver/chrome dvd player, white Radio Shack phone and answering machine, 19 inch sony t.v., approximently 100 dvds' with rack holders, and 20 boxes of ammunition.

The Halifax County Sheriffs Office is investigating a homocide that occurred on Wednesday March 23rd on Little Drive in Littleton.The victim was shot in the chest one time and had blunt trauma to his head.The victims dog also got shot and later died.The victim was found in his white dodge truck,after having driving into a tree in an apartment front yard.
         The victim was 32 year old Jeffrey Squires, living in the Littleon area.Crimestoppers is offering a cash reward in this case, 

 

The Sheriffs Office is investigating the theft of this four-wheeler from a residence near Davie School Road on Wednesday night, March 3rd.The thief cut a chain in a yard to steal the four wheeler.
 
         It is a 2002 Honda Recon ES,tan in color.We would appreciate any news release, as we suspect that the thief(s) may be trying to sell it

 

We have had four recent Breaking and Enterings in the Timmy Lane / Suzanne Circle area since December.In December a white male with a pony tail was seen in the area of the break-ins.We have now had two more in Febuary.Crimestoppers would ask anyone that has information to call 583-4444.

1/31/05WE HAVE HAD SEVERAL ACTS OF VANDELISM IN THE HOLLISTER AND LITTLETON  AREAS,WHERE PEOPLE ARE DESTROYING ROADSIDE MAILBOXES. ANY INFORMATION THAT LEADS TO AN ARREST WILL BE REWARDED BY CRIMESTOPPERS.

On 12/28/04, someone entered a trailer on Dot circle, in the P&J drive area.An x-Box game system,games, and jewelry were stolen.The games included: NFL Street 1,Driver 3,and NFL 2002.The Christmas gifts were a huge loss for the children that they were to benefit.If anyone in that area may have seen anything suspicious or know of someone trying to sell these items,please call Crimestoppers.
 
      On 1/19/05 someone broke into a residence on James street in Hobgood.Items taken include: X-Box, Tonyhawk,NFL Street,underground 4  games, and a  JVC camcorder .If anyone has any information please call! We also have several other break ins in the area.
 
We are investigating a BE & L, at a residence on HWY 158 near William R. Davie school.On 12/24th or 25th, someone broke into a trailer behind a home being built.An unfinished garage was also entered with items stolen.
 
       We think that the stolen items have been for sale "In the street", and someone may know who is trying to sell the following items: (1) red pressure washer, (1) "Devilbiss" blue in color 5500 watt generator, (1) "John Deere" yellow and green chainsaw, (1) box of ceramic floor tile,cream in color.

 

The Sheriffs Office is investigating the 11/23/04 Break-In at the Tillery Community Center.The back door was apparently kicked in and a small amount of money was taken.Windows were also broken.

The Halifax County Sheriffs Office and Crimestoppers is seeking help in an Armed Robbery case that occurred at the "Bro Barber Shop" in Hollister on 10/25/04 around 9 p.m.
The employee reported that three B/Ms entered the shop,two brandishing guns.The men robbed the victim and cut him in on both side of his face after pushing to the floor.Two of the men were light complected and one dark.

During the week of November 20th,this cow trailer was stolen from a farming field near Scotland Neck.I have attached a pic. This one was 14" x 6",channel iron post,painted off-white with double house trailer wheels,new tires 7-14.5

 

   
     We are also investigating two breaking and Enterings on 11/11/04.Both crimes occurred during the afternoon in the areas of Weldon and Hwy 903 outside of Roanoke Rapids.The first break-in on HWY 903 had three pitbull puppies,several guns,jewelry,and a Honda CR125 dirtbike taken.The puppies were tan,tan and white, and brown with a black face.The dirtbike had green fenders.
      The second break-in had womens jeans and tennis shoes stolen,along with mens shoes taken.Two b/ms were seen leaving the yard on foot.
 
    The thieves may have tried to sell these items this weekend, and Crimestoppers wants to know who they are.

 

The Halifax County Sheriffs Office is investigating a damage to property complaint filed by Eddie Maes Bait and Tackle on HWY 158 on 10/21/04. An possible drive by shooting by at least eight shotgun shells were shot through the front door/glass, after hours. The building was not occupied at the time.Substantial damage was done to the property by the 12 gauge shotgun blast.If anyone has information that can lead to an arrest in the case,please call Crimestoppers!

 

ON 10-22-04 AT APPROXIMATELY 0530HRS THE RRPD RESPONDED TO CROWLEYS LIFESTYLE FITNESS REF A BURGLARY.  DAMAGE WAS DONE TO THE FRONT DOOR AS THE SUSPECT FORCED HIS WAY IN.  MONEY WAS TAKEN AND THE SUSPECT LEFT.  THE SUSPECT IS A WHT MALE WITH A MUSTACHE.  HE WAS BELIEVED TO BE IN THE STORE THAT MORNING ASKING FOR MONEY.  HE WAS WEARING A STRIPED SHIRT AND VERY DIRTY BLUE JEANS AT THE TIME OF THE ROBBERY

 

 

 

 

 

The Sheriffs Office is investigating a Breaking and Entering at the Lighthouse of Deliverance Church, located in the Lincoln Heights community. Between 7/20/04 and 7/23/04 the church was forcibly entered and several items removed. A Sony DVD player, Pevay speakers, and a cordless microphone were stolen.

 
     If anyone has information on the whereabouts of the property or who the offenders are, Crimestoppers is offering a reward

The Sheriffs office is investigating a homicide that took place in the Ita community.The crime took place on 6/12/04. Three suspects are sought, after they hide in the residence of Timothy Hendricks, and ambushed Mr. Hendricks and two friends, after they entered the house.The suspects had stunguns and a large caliber handgun.Mr. Hendricks was shot as he was attempting to escape, and later died at Nash General hospital.The men were wearing dark clothing and "half mask" pulled over their heads.

The Sheriffs' Office is investigating a home invasion in the Eastern Shores area of Littleton on 6/21/04. An elderly female was victimized by two w/ms' around 10:00 a.m. The men forced their way into the home and pushed the woman to the floor. The men had apparently cut the phone lines to the home prior to the entry.The men went throught the home and stole a 12 gauge Ivy Johnson shotgun and a 38 cal. handgun. The men may have left in a blue vehicle of some sort.

5/17/04 Fox's Used Cars and Mini-storage had storage units broken into over the weekend.An unknown amount of stolen goods were obtained. Two cars had the CD players taken out. 

 

ON MARCH 24,1998, AT APPROXIMATELY 2118HRS, JAMES LEE WOODLEY AND TWO OF HIS FRIENDS WERE WALKING ON MONROE ST IN ROANOKE RAPIDS, N.C.  AT THE INTERSECTION OF MONROE ST  AND SECOND ST., WOODLEY AND HIS TWO FRIENDS WERE APPROACHED BY THREE BLACK MALES OPERATING A CHRYSLER / GM TYPE AUTOMOBILE.  ONE LONE BLK MALE EXITED THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE, POINTED WHAT IS BELIEVED TO BE A SKS-AK47 TYPE ASSAULT RIFLE AT THE THREE MEN.  APPROXIMATELY SEVEN SHOTS WERE FIRED.  WOODLEY WAS STRUCK TWICE.  ONE ROUND STRUCK MR. WOODLEY IN THE NECK KILLING HIM INSTANTLY

 

We had an armed robbery of a pizza delivery man on 3/26/04 at 1025 p.m. on Godley Street, in the Lincoln Heights community.The driver had a legitiment pizza to deliver but went to the wrong street,and was turning around when two black males approached him with a handgun demanding money. The driver gave a small amount of cash and a cell phone to the suspects. The driver was punched in the jaw by the  by one of the men before they ran away Suspect #1 was wearing dark clothes, black ski mask, 6"00 tall, 190-210 lbs, armed with a handgun. Suspect #2 was also wearing dark clothes, ski mask, 5"8 175 lbs.

On 3/21/04 @ 7:50 p.m. Judy Russell of Clearbrook Va was walking up to her room at the Hampton Inn when a B/M came up behind her and grabbed her purse.  Russell resisted until the strap in her pocketbook broke.  The B/M ran away with her pocketbook and its contents.  The B/M was last seen running by the pool.  The B/M was around 30 yoa, round face, clean shaven, short curly hair, aprox 506 and 160 lbs.  Russell received minor injury which did not need medical treatment.


On Saturday 02/14/04, this man was caught on video stealing three bottles of Henessey liquor from the ABC store in Roanoke Rapids.The bottles were worth $75.If anyone knows the identity of this man please call crimestoppers.Agent Brent Massey from the N.C.A.L.E is investigating the matter.

On 2/8/04 between 4 and 5 p.m. two white males approached an elderly resident at her home in Halifax county in the Enfield

On Saturday Jan 31st at Brays Supply on Hinson street
 in Roanoke Rapids at 10 a.m. two B/M's entered the
 store and brandished a handgun. The store employee and
 register were robbed. The men wore black clothing and
 black ski mask. No one was hurt and only a small amount
 of cash was taken. If any one knows or has suspects in
 mind, call Crimestoppers.

 Devilbiss Generator, blue and black in color with
 wheels on the frame, a Still chainsaw orange and tan
 in color, a red tool box with a variety of tools, 15
 gallons of gas, and two gas cans. The approximate value
 of all is $2300.The items were taken from the shed and
 dragged to the Hwy 4 area nearby.

 

On 1/3/04 someone stole 20 hunting dogs.Twelve were blue tick beagle dogs. black/brown/white in color valued at $12,000.The eight others were bluetick  beagle rabbit hunting dogs,same markings with three  being adults and five puppies valued at $8,000.  The dogs were in a hunting club just outside of Weldon.Anyone with information is asked to call  Crimestoppers

On 12/23/03 and 12/30/03 B,E & L's were reported at 107 Hillside Court, Roanoke Rapids.  Construction tools vauled at aproximately $6000.00 along with a Yamaha Stereo reciever, Mitsubisu VCR, JVC Speaker Selector

In the late night hours of November 16th or early morning hours of the 17th, Northwest Halifax High School was broken into. Once inside various equipment  rooms were entered and several items stolen. We suspect that more than one person committed this crime, and Crimestoppers needs the publics help.  Items stolen were: 20 desktop computers (monitors and Hardrives), a video camara, tv/vcr 13" player,a  computer drive, potato chips and pencils. The stolen  property cannot be easily hidden and we hope that someone out there wants a reward. 

On 10/22/03 in the late night hours, a residence in the Firetower Road area of Littleton was broken into. Several items were removed and may have shown up in the street for sale. Some of the items stolen are: Mens size 11, womens size 8 timberland boots, 5 disc cd changer, an > X box,dreamcast,playstation, and nintindo game systems, three "Echo" shirts, assorted DVDs and Cds,  and a pair of gold earrings.

We need help in finding the person or persons responsible for the Breaking, Entering, and Larceny at the New Testament Christian Church on Jackson Street in Roanoke Rapids. The front door was pried open and a JVC stereo CD player and JBL speakers were stolen. This crime occured on Friday night or Saturday morning 11/22/03. The thieves may have tried to sell the equipment since ths occured and we are offering a reward.Please call 583-4444.



Hello, we need the publics' help with a home invasion/robbery that
occured on 10-22-03 in the 1100 block of Washington Avenue in
Weldon. An 85 year old man went outside of his residence at around 8:45 a.m. After taking out the trash he found two black males in his home. One of the men threw the victim to the floor and held him down while the other suspect removed his wallet from his pocket. The suspects were last seen running out of the back door of the house. The victim suffered mild injuries. A small amount of cash and a social security card were taken.

       If anyone has information on who the suspects are please call
Crimestoppers. These two men had nothing better to do at this time of day and chances are, someone that hears about this crime may have an idea of who the suspect is.

 

 
 
 
 
Somewhere between 7/23/03 and 8/26/03 someone stole a singlewide trailer in fair condition from a storage lot off of Hwy. 158 in Roanoke Rapids.The trailer is a 1997 Brigadere that is light grey in color and had red shutters.The size is 14' X 66'.

ONCE INSIDE CASH AND CHECKS (UNDISCLOSED AMOUNT)  AS WELL AS ASSORTED  MECHANICS TOOLS WERE TAKEN ( VALUE $2500). ONE ITEM WHICH WAS TAKEN WAS A CAR COMPUTER SCANNER. A W/M WAS SEEN IN THE AREA RUNNING FROM THE BUSINESS.

On Monday May 12th, 2003 an unknown b/male entered the BB&T bank located at 301 Washington Avenue in Weldon at approximately 1242 p.m.
The suspect approached the teller, presented a note saying give me the money.  The teller complied with the instructions.  The suspect then fled the scene on foot in an unknown direction of travel.  The suspect was described as being a b/male approximately 6 feet in height weighing about 250 pounds wearing a black ball cap, tan & blue shirt with black pants.

WANTED: Any information pertaining to the identity of the suspect
